Awakening The Heart

CHECK OUT THE EDITOR’S NOTE FOR THE NOVEMBER 2020 GRATITUDE ISSUE AT MARKED MINISTRY

Sweeping across the nation and the world, there have been numerous revival movements happening during 2020. It’s in these days of trial that many of us have started looking up instead of looking out.

From Sean Feucht’s “Let Us Worship” movement to the Prayer March on Washington D.C., there has been a call to prayer, repentance, and worship. I have been drawn to these movements, as I’ve wanted to be hyper-focused on God in order to navigate the tenuous circumstances in our world.

God is calling us back to our first love, Himself.

But what does a revival movement look like, and why should we be appreciative of it?

Many of these revival movements across the nation, have simply been a call for believers to gather.

In our Western society, many of us have become so distracted that we’ve forgotten to look deeper. God has given us so many undeserved blessings, and yet an attitude of thankfulness has vanished. We’ve refused to evaluate how we’re living and why we’re living that way. Our prayers have become legalistic or nonexistent. We’re too busy criticizing someone else to really look at our own hearts and the sin that we carry. We fail to recognize how that sin affects people and the world around us.

God is revealing our broken heart condition through these movements…

All so very true Amber! I like you too am observing the near outright chaos happening in our country and around the planet lately seeing the shaky flimsy balance of societies while there are those agents within that promote the same, making matters exponentially worse; how it seems likely that perhaps anarchy is right around the next corner as we travel down this road of life on earth these days. We as Christians agree that God has it all covered, but, He gives us so many blessings or opportunities to shape up and take the initiative that we should to be devoutly faithful and in prayer often, so that we maintain our own path to salvation but just as important inspire others to do the same by setting a good example as we do it, especially in this topsy-turvy time of conflict and confusion were it’s so sorely lacking as you point out. Here is an excerpt of something I was saying in one of my recent blogs regarding Big Pharma that I believe says some of what you are saying here.
“An antichrist entity out to subdue, control, ruin and destroy countless lives and ultimately souls.” With this type of culture at work around the planet with absolutely, secularism running rampant, promoting and being facilitated by Big Tech now every second of every day on a massive scale not promoting, God or anything to do with Him, but, rather “faith in technology” as God, and Government coupled with High Tech being our true savior, a narrative that’s saying the ways of the world and man himself are the only thing this side of heaven that can help us and do us any good!”
Yes Amber, secularism or materialism coupled with a culture of death is a dark scourge upon our Nation and we have to pray we can free ourselves and indeed our society from the powerful grip it has on it; distracting so many people from seeing the plain simple truth right in their faces! Instead many are attracted to corruptions, sin, decadence, falsehoods and outright immorality; an antichrist movement, which is the road to perdition!
Thank you again for such inspiring insight and concern in this crisis that we are facing!
God bless you and yours. Amen.

Hi AJ and my thanks and love goes out to you and yours especially for you being such a faithful servant of God’s. I really am humbled by you and all you’re doing there along with these interactions online! They say you should pack slowly or carefully and I think the reverse process should be done with as much care too so take your time; and I’m always here to connect any dots. I’m glad to be of service and spend time on my reply.

Since having kids, God has definitely revealed to us more naturopathic medicines and healing that were pushed out of universities years ago, including midwifery. Definitely interesting reading into all of that. I’m so glad God opened our eyes to other ways the body can heal and function well beyond just pharmaceuticals. Not that medicines aren’t important, but yes, there’s a lot to look into behind the scenes.

Hi again AJ! Most assuredly all you said is smack dab on target and perfect! That unpacking idea here too, use all of your faculties and insights while seeking additional information and truth as much as you can and then look it over carefully to see what God tells you is most appropriate for you or the specific situation. God is there to help us with our earthly living and who knows better than God what all of this is about and how it works. He directs us to do the best thing if we are truly receptive to Him, and also trying our best to do the right thing.
Let’s keep the inspiration growing while we strengthen our faith in the Lord and having completely open hearts to Him, we will be directed to what is best for us always.
God bless you and yours. Amen.
